Contemporary Dance Training, Idol Career
Park Ji-min came up through contemporary dance training before joining BTS, and it shows: his choreography has always leaned expressive and fluid rather than sharp and militaristic, a style that became one of BTS's most distinctive visual signatures on stage.
As a lead vocalist, his falsetto-heavy, emotionally exposed singing style set him apart early — an approach to performance built around feeling rather than force.
FACE, MUSE, and a Solo Identity Built on Honesty
Jimin's solo debut album "FACE" (2023) leaned directly into themes of anxiety and self-doubt rather than projecting effortless idol confidence — an unusually candid move for the format, and one that resonated well beyond BTS's existing fanbase.
His follow-up, "MUSE," continued in that same emotionally direct register, cementing a solo persona distinct from his group image: less about spectacle, more about sitting in a feeling long enough to make the listener sit in it too.
Discharged, Reunited
Jimin enlisted alongside Jungkook in December 2023 and was discharged with him on the same day, June 11, 2025 — a coincidence of timing that turned their return into a shared moment for fans, rather than two separate homecomings.
With BTS's full seven-member reunion following soon after, Jimin heads back into group activity with a solo catalogue that's arguably reshaped what an idol's "personal" music is allowed to sound like.
